Labas! My name is Ugne. I am 24 years old volunteer from Lithuania.
I have a degree in Cultural Studies and Social Policy. I always wanted to give some more of my time for volunteering and for a community. So that‘s why I am here in Râmnicu Vâlcea, I decided to take a gap year before my master studies in Social Anthropology and go to live my dream!
I am really glad that I have become an EVS volunteer. Though, I think I am receiving here more than I am giving. And it‘s not because I wouldn‘t work enough, but because this experience has learnt me so much about work, about people, about life. It gave me so many new skills and competencies and life lessons. I have been traveling and living in other countries before, but every time it‘s different, every time you learn so much something new, every time it opens your eyes. So, dear fellows, if you ever hesitate to do exchange, to volunteer, to travel or not, I think you know my advice J.
